"description": "As part of my ongoing support for major improvements at the Bloomington-Normal Water Reclamation District treatment plant, I created a comprehensive 3D visualization and construction sequencing video illustrating the site’s planned structural and environmental changes.\nWorking closely with the Water and BIM teams, I built a detailed 3D representation of the facility using a combination of custom modeling and engineering models translated from Revit. I prepared and textured new structures, a utility tunnel, and the surrounding environment, then animated the phased construction sequence to show how the improvements would be implemented and why each step was necessary.\nThe final video moves between the exterior 3D environment I created and technical interior walkthroughs supplied by the BIM team. I assembled and edited the full piece, added narration based on an engineering script, and developed motion graphics that made the sequencing easier to follow for contractors, stakeholders, and non-technical audiences.\nI also improved the production workflow by introducing more efficient methods for transferring Revit models into the visualization pipeline, significantly reducing cleanup time without sacrificing quality. The result was one of the most detailed and realistic treatment plant visualizations produced by our team, combining accurate engineering information with polished animation, lighting, materials, and clear visual storytelling.\n",

"description": "I created a series of 3D visualizations exploring design options for a shoreline preservation project on an island in Cedar Lake, Illinois.\nUsing drone reference imagery and engineering documents, I developed three potential concepts that accurately represented the existing environment while illustrating different approaches to shoreline protection. These included a natural stone wall along the shoreline, an offshore wave-breaking wall below the water’s surface, and a hybrid solution combining both approaches with reeds integrated between them.\nThe proposed engineering designs also intentionally incorporated existing site materials, including fallen trees and natural debris, as functional elements of the shoreline strategy. I accurately modeled and represented these details within each concept, helping the visualizations reflect not only the appearance of the site, but the specific engineering intent behind the designs.\nAlongside the wider views, I created close-up renderings that highlighted individual design features and ecological benefits, such as the habitat value provided by the proposed reeds. Produced with Blender, Twinmotion, and Photoshop, the final visuals gave project teams a polished and engaging way to compare early design options, discuss tradeoffs, and balance performance, cost, and environmental value.\n",

I helped capture cinematic footage on location, then developed the post-production direction around making the technology, process, and real-world value of the service visually engaging and easy to understand.\nUsing motion graphics, VFX, and 3D animation, I created visualizations that showed how the technology works, including animated survey paths across the water, illuminated data grids, and a Blender sequence showing a measurement signal traveling from the survey equipment to the lakebed and back. I also visualized how the collected data becomes a usable map, then connected the technical process to a relatable real-world example through a father and son using that map while fishing.\nBy cross-cutting between the fieldwork, technical visualizations, and practical use case, I transformed a straightforward service overview into a dynamic story that showcased the technology, the people behind it, and the real value the data can provide.\n",

The production was completely unscripted.\nShot in a handheld, run-and-gun style, the finished video offers an authentic look into work that often happens behind the scenes while highlighting the expertise and effort required in the field. "description": "I created a 3D visualization for Baxter & Woodman’s Natural Resources team to support a proposal for the ecological revitalization of a stormwater management basin in Wadsworth, Illinois.\nI recreated the existing landscape in 3D and developed a detailed vision of the proposed improvements, populating the environment with plant species specifically native to the area. This gave stakeholders a clear and realistic view of how the basin could be transformed while highlighting the ecological, environmental, and natural value the project would bring to the surrounding community.\nThe final visualization translated a technical restoration concept into an engaging image that made the proposed outcome easier to understand and envision.\n",
